Sustainable Household Agricultural Productivity and Empowerment (SHAPE)

Improved household income, food security and general productivity of targeted vulnerable low-income households in Siaya County.

Project overview

Focus on Sustainable Household Agricultural Productivity and Empowerment

Siaya County’s high HIV prevalence (14-15%), being 4.2 times higher than the national prevalence and 38.3% poverty rate drives the high burden of over 69,000 Vulnerable Children. These children include over 12,000 adolescents and children living with HIV whose families face systemic multidimensional challenges; which compromise child well-being while struggling with barriers to healthcare, education, child safety, food security and economic stability; creating a cycle-of-vulnerabilities.

Project Goal

Improved household income, food security and general productivity of targeted vulnerable low-income households in Siaya County.
